How we know what we know

Most kid-friendly lists for Tokyo tell you a place exists. They don't tell you whether a family visiting for ten days, with a three-year-old and no Japanese, can actually get in. That gap is the only thing we work on.

Provider Confirmed

We wrote to the place and a person there answered our specific questions: can a visiting overseas family join, is a single session possible, does the parent stay, what is the real fee, and what happens without Japanese. Their answer is what you read on the card.

Parent Verified

A parent from our team went in person with a small child and can confirm the place genuinely operates and works for a visiting family. Firsthand experience — not a claim from the venue.

Official Information

Taken from the venue's own official page or the ward's page: prices, hours, age rules, booking steps. Nobody at the venue has answered our visitor-specific questions yet, so anything not published stays unknown.

The rules we keep

Unknown stays unknown. If a provider never told us the booking lead time, the card says unknown. We never round a gap up into a promise.
Partial English is not English. A place using Google Translate, or charging extra for an interpreter, is labelled partial — never "English available".
Availability is never invented. Any dates or slots shown are what the provider stated on the day we checked. Nothing is held or reserved for you.
No partnerships, no booking. We have no commercial relationship with anywhere listed, we take no commission, and you book directly with the place yourself.
Everything is dated. Each card shows when it was last verified. Tokyo schedules and prices change; check before you travel.
Tokyo only. We publish nothing outside Tokyo and nothing we haven't verified.

Private inquiry threads with providers stay private. We publish the answers that affect your access, not the correspondence.
